Whether it’s an MRI, a CT scan, or another type of image of your body, your appointment will likely be uneventful. To get the best results and to have the best experience possible, there are a few things that you can do before arriving at the center.
Staying Safe
Before your appointment at an Orlando imaging center, you should contact your doctor to find out if there are any medications that you need to take or if there are any that you should avoid right before your scan. You should also let your doctor know if there are any pieces of metal in your body or if you have a pacemaker. If you have tattoos or permanent jewelry, then you should let the center know about these as well as the machines that could impact those additions to your body.
Clothing
Before arriving at an Orlando imaging center, consider wearing comfortable clothing if you need to change into a gown. Sometimes, you might need to have an intravenous needle for medications. A shirt with loose sleeves can make getting the IV started a bit easier.
Arrival
When you get to the center, you’ll usually be taken to a room where you’ll be given instructions about what to do in the machine or the room depending on the type of scan that you’re having. A technician will give instructions while you’re having the scan performed and then let you know when to expect results once you’re finished.
